The Golden Mullet · 1776–2026
One artwork. Two hundred fifty fragments. A year on tour.
A single piece tied to the Moon, broken into 250 numbered originals — each claimed, painted, and carried out into the world to raise support for those who served.
What it is
One portrait, made of many.
Look closely at the work above — the whole is a mosaic. Every tile is a smaller image, and the finished piece is composed of exactly 250 individual originals, each carried out into the world after the gala.
The piece
One original artwork, connected to the Moon, divided into exactly 250 fragments. Each fragment is a numbered original — 042 of 250 belongs to one person and no one else.
The tour
Over a year, the work travels. Every stop is logged on a live map that appears on each fragment's page, so owners can watch where the piece has been — together and apart.
The cause
A portion of every fragment supports veterans. Provenance, painting, and pledge are recorded permanently — scan the code on your fragment to see your page anytime.
